This episode of The Learning FM Podcast goes into detail and attempts to clarify questions I’ve received about what is a Facility Condition Assessment.
In order to really explain the FCA, I also go into a little more detail about the Real Property Inventory and what you include in that as well. The bottom line is that you need to first understand what you have in order to understand what condition it is in and to plan a strategy on how to maintain and replace each asset you have in your facilities.
Please join me every Tuesday on The Learning FM Podcast for new information on Facility Management and the four knowledge domains. If you enjoyed this episode, check out the articles I write on Project Management.
So, without further ado, listen closely and email me with any questions you have at dan@learningfm.com. Thanks for listening!
Thanks alot that was very informative,I do inventory list but it’s just there as and not used much I think the next step would be to keep track and actually use it for estimated useful life and plan future replacement. Would like to see more explams of FCA and RPI. Do you have examples of Capital replacement strategy would also like to put this on to my plans.
